Tomball ISD's second K-6 campus was named Timber Creek Elementary during a board meeting on June 14.

Located at Kuykendahl Road and Creekside Green Drive in The Woodlands, this 112,170 square foot school will serve approximately 750 students in grades kindergarten through six.

The preliminary schematic design includes classroom wings that are arranged as super-pods. The design also features a cafeteria, a centrally located library, art rooms, a science lab, a computer lab, choir, band and music rooms, a teacher workroom, a gymnasium, and a drop-off/pick-up loop.

Timber Creek Elementary is being funded under Bond 2007, which is Tomball ISD's $198 million bond referendum that was approved by voters four years ago.

Timber Creek Elementary is scheduled to open in the fall of 2012.

My comments: What an exciting time for growth in this area! Kuykendahl will soon be 5 lines wide making it easier for new businesses and subdivisions to grow. I love living in this area of the county!
